About Us

Breckenridge Manor was established in 1988. Over the years, it has grown into an outstanding riding, training, and boarding facility, now housing approximately eighty horses. Mr. Chris Wynne has owned the facility from its beginnings, and still maintains an active role in the management of the barn, along with serving as an "R" rated judge at many of the most prestigious shows along the east coast.

Breckenridge Manor consists of three barns, one indoor riding ring, two outdoor rings, one round pen, and sits on approximately 95 acres. We believe that turn out is key to a healthy and happy horse, and have seven large group fields and five private paddocks in order to implement this.

Our indoor arena, measuring 250 by 100 feet, is equipped with lighting, sprinklers, jumps, sand footing and five large garage-style doors to allow plenty of ventilation on nice days. The larger of our outdoor arenas is also equipped with lights, jumps, and a sprinkler system. It also has all-weather sand/stone dust/rubber footing.

Each of our three barns has approximately 28 stalls and a total of eight wash/grooming stalls. Each horse is assigned two lockers in one of our many locker rooms, allowing for ample storage. Adjoining barn one is the heated and air conditioned office and lounge area, which contains restrooms and a viewing area overlooking the outdoor ring.

The Breckenridge Riding School is also housed within the facility, offering top instruction by our six instructors and thirteen school horses. We teach and train at all levels, from beginner to professional.

Breckenridge Manor is a member of the Virginia Beach Horse Show Association (VBHSA) and the Virginia Horse Show Association (VHSA) and holds many VBHSA and VHSA Associate Program rated shows throughout the year.
